How It Works

StayAFK uses a simple 3-step process to keep your Minecraft character online safely and compliantly.

Login with Microsoft

Click "Get Started" and authenticate using your Microsoft account. We use official Microsoft OAuth, so your credentials stay secure and never pass through our servers.

Add Your Server & Authenticate

Enter your Minecraft server details (IP address and port). When you click "Connect" for the first time, you'll need to authenticate with Microsoft using device flow.

Minecraft Authentication (First Time Only)

1. Click "Connect" on your server - a code will appear
2. Click the link to open Microsoft login page in a new window
3. Enter the code on Microsoft's website and sign in
4. Return to StayAFK - authentication completes automatically

This is a one-time process. After authentication, you can connect to servers instantly.

Stay AFK

Your character will stay online and connected to the server on our servers, not in your browser. Monitor chat messages in real-time through the dashboard. Your character stays connected even when you close your browser.
